This is a special report regarding Palliative Day Celebrations in Kunnamkulam. Palliative Day was observed in connection with World Cancer Day with a Public Meeting at Govt. Taluq Hospital, Kunnamkulam. The meeting was inaugurated by Shri. C.K. Unnikrishnan Master, Chairman of Kunnamkulam Municipality. IMA Kunnamkulam was represented by Dr. K.V. Devadas, Past President of IMA KSB and Secretary of Pain and Palliative Wing of Kunnamkulam and Dr. Taj Paul Panakkal, Convenor of IMACGP Chapter of Kunnamkulam.
Our members Dr. K.V. Devadas and Dr. Unnikrishnan T. conduct regular Palliative Care Clinics on every Tuesday andThursday from 12N to 2pm at the Taluq Hospital and an average of 40 patients are given free medical aid.
The Kudumbasangamom of the Pain and Palliative Cell was conducted on 4.12.2014 and Kunnamkulam IMA President Dr. Koshy George T. represented the IMA at the family meeting of the patients.
