PROTEST MEETING AT TALUK HOSPITAL, KUNNAMKULAM

This is the special report  on the protest meeting held at Taluq hospital , Kunnamkulam today following a hospital attack at the Taluq hospital , Kunnamkulam ,in the early hours of the day at about  3 am .  A mob of 60 masked miscreants came to the hospital to identify and assault some inpatients who were admitted to the hospital following a local political clash. The attackers have beaten up the security guard and locked in the duty staff nurse inside the duty room and created dreadful  situation in the hospital, causing inconvenience and fear to other inpatients.

Today morning  , the IMA kunnamkulam branch was officially informed and immediately a strong team of the IMA led by the Kunnamkulam IMA president Dr.Koshy George ,Secretary Dr.Saju.P.K ,Senior Vice president Dr Paul C Raphel, IMAKSB Past President Dr.K.V.Devadas, SSSS Board of Trustees member Dr.O.J.John reached the Taluq Hospital within minutes and organised a  protest meeting  involving all the staff of Taluq Hospital also and a protest march was held demanding  arrest of the culprits under the Hospital Protection Act. All the doctors of the Taluq Hospital also participated in the protest meeting. 

IMA Kunnamkulam President Dr. Koshy George T., Taluq Hospital Superintendent Dr. Taj Paul and Municipal Councillor Adv. Rajeev addressed the gathering.

I have been informed that 3 culprits have already been booked under the Act before I have drafted this report.
