May 3rd – Executive Committee Meeting
Executive Committee meeting was conducted. Discussion about SWC meeting and upcoming programs done.
May 4th – BLS and First Aid Class at Wadakkancherry
IMA Kunnamkulam conducted a session on BLS and first aid for KSEB workers at Wadakkanchery. Dr.Ajith conducted the program.
May 8th – World Red Cross Day Program at Porkulam
In connection with World Red Cross Day, a medical camp was organized by IMA and WIMA Kunnamkulam in association with Pain and Palliative Society and HOSF at Porkulam. Inauguration and Red Cross message by Dr.Koshy George. Function presided over by Dr. C. P. Ravunnikutty. Felicitations by Mr. Abdul Khader moulavi, Mr. Abubacker, Dr. N. D. Varghese. Vote of thanks by Dr. Geetha Devi. Dr. Shaji P. S., Dr. Jyothi Varghese, Dr. Bineesh Vijayan, Dr. A. V. Karthikeyan and Dr.Sheeja Unnikrishnan,Dr Ravunnikutty,Dr ND Varghese examined the patients.Free blood sugar estimation was done for patients. Leaflets about Summer Diseases and their prevention were distributed.
May 12th – Nurses’ Day Program at Punnayurkulam
IMA Kunnamkulam observed International Nurses’ Day at Santhi Nursing Home, Punnayurkulam .Nursing Supt. Sister Nalini delivered Nurses Day Message. Joint Secretary Dr.K.R.Mukesh took class about Philosophy of Nursing
May 15th – Snehapoorvam Vayojanangalkkayi Camp at Pazhanji
Monthly camp SNEHAPOORVAM VAYOJANANGALKKAYI conducted at Pazhanji. Dr Ravunnikutty, Dr Shaji, Dr Annie Babu examined patients
May 18th World Schizophrenia Week Programs at AIPMAR, Perumpilav
World schizophrenia week celebrations of IMA Kunnamkulam, was inaugurated by the president of IMA Kunnamkulam Dr C P Ravunnikutty @ Ansar Institute of Psychiatric Medicine And Rehabilitation(AIPMAR), Perumpilav. The one week program has started off with awareness classes by the MSW students and Nursing students of AIPMAR. Dr.Saju.P.K and occupational therapist Miss.Femina participated in the program.
May 20th – Protest Meeting at Govt. Taluk Hospital, Kunnamkulam
IMA Kunnamkulam conducted protest meeting at Govt.Hospital Kunnamkulam against the attack on doctor at Kottarakkara. Dr.Ravunnikutty inaugurated the meeting. Dr.Taj Paul,Dr.Devadas, Dr.O.J. john spoke on the occasion.
May 21st – Condolence General Body Meeting
Condolence meeting was conducted at IMA House to pay respect to the departed soul of Mrs.Elizabeth Abraham, wife of Dr. Abraham Joshua senior member of IMA Kunnamkulam.
May 22nd – Health Education Class on Schizophrenia at Kattakampal
In connection with World Schizophrenia Awareness Day IMA KUNNAMKULAM and WIMA conducted an Health Education class on Schizophrenia and other mental disorders at YMCA hall, Kattakampal. Dr.Ravunnikutty inaugurated the program.
Dr.Cyriac George took the class. Dr.Geetha Devi expressed vote of thanks. A medical checkup for the participants was done.
May 24th – Literary Club Book Release at Kunnamkulam
Literary Club Activity: IMA Kunnamkulam in association with Kerala NGO association Kunnamkulam Branch conducted a Book Release function at Liwa Tower Kunnamkulam.
Dr. Ravunnikutty presided the function. The book titled NALEYUDE NEYTHUKARAN authored by MR. CHANDRA SEKHARAN.T was released by Dr.Sherly Vasu, Principal, Govt.Medical College,Thrissur. Dr.Harikrishnan,Secretary Literary Club of IMA Kunnamkulam felicitated the function. Mrs.Seetha Raveendran, Chairperson,Kunnamkulam Municipality was the Chief Guest
May 24th — CME and General Body Meeting
Meeting was called to order after collaring by the secretary at 8.30 pm. Silent prayer was followed by Flag salutation by the Secretary. President welcomed all the members and Guests from Madhyakerala Branch Officials to the Meeting.He detailed all the programs conducted by IMA and WIMA .He introduced the Speaker of the day Dr Tomy to the audience.
Dr.Tomy had given a excellent lecture on Life Style Diseases which was followed by interactive session. Dr.Devadas presented memento to the Speaker.
Dr. Saju conducted the Xray Quiz which was a case of misplaced Ryles tube.Dr.Koshy George and Dr.Nissar won the prizes.Dr.Saju announced the results of Photo Quiz which was won by Dr.Koshy George and Dr. Cyriac George.
Ethical Pearls for this month was projected.
Grievance Redreesal Forum was inaugurated during the meeting.Panchayath president Mr Satheesan declared the forum Inaugurated after lighting the lamp. Dr. Devadas and Dr. N. D. Varghese are the members of the forum.
Dr. A.V. Babu of the Madhya Kerala branch detailed the up coming state conference at Aluva.He also detailed the Aluva Villa project of IMA KSB.Treasrer Dr Shameer Sulaiman expressed vote of thanks.
President adjourned the meeting after National Anthem at 9.30 pm.
May 29th – Monthly Free Medical Camp at IMA House
Monthly medical camp at IMA House. Dr.Joshy Thomas and Dr.Bineesh examined the patients.
May 29th – Arogyajalakam Program on No Tobacco Day and Lifestyle Diseases at Kattakampal
Arogya Jalakam committee of IMA Kunnamkulam in association with WIMA and Kattakampal Panchayath , conducted NO TOBACCO DAY and LIFE STYLE DISEASES awareness programs in Ward number 2 and 15.
IMA president Dr.Ravunnikutty presided the function. Panchayat member Mrs.Sreeja welcomed the crowd.Panchayath President Mr.Sadanadan Master inaugarated the program.Arogya Jalakam midzone convenor Dr.Saju.P.K ,WIMA secretary Dr.Geetha Devi attended the program.
No tobacco message was given by Dr.Ravunnikutty.
Dr.GeethaDevi took class about harmful effects of Tobacco.
Dr.Shaji gave a presentation about Life Style Diseases.
Release of Booklets about Hypertension,Diabetes and Tuberculosis was done by handing over a copy to Panchayath President by Dr.Ravunnikutty.
Pulmonary function test (spirometry) was done for the patients
