Past state chairpersons of WIMA were honoured in the function.

International Women’s Day Special project. EARLY DETECTION CAMP FOR BREAST CANCER AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME –
In connection with International Women’s Day, IMA in association with IDA,Kunnamkulam, ThalukHospital,WIMA and Cochin Cancer Society conducted a free mammogram camp for poor and needy ladies above 40 in and around Kunnamkulam.The camp was conducted at Thaluk Hospital. Muncipal Chairperson inaugurated the function.Dr.K.V.Devadas past IMA State President presided over the function .23 ladies above 40 years were subjected to free mammogram. 2 ladies with suspected lesions were subjected to ultrasonogram also. An awareness class on breast cancer was taken by Dr.Azad.

Reception to State President and Diamond Jubilee March @ IMA House Kunnamkulam 29 members attended the reception to Diamond Jubilee March (VAJRA). We handed over applications of 6 new members (2 couple).This makes total new members this year 9 (3 couple).

Free Friday Diabetic Clinic conducted at SHRC by IMA Kunnamkulam. Secretary Dr. Shameer C Sulaiman examined the patients. 11 patients attended clinic. Free Blood Sugar estimation was done.

Minutes of 8th General Body Meeting & 7th CME held on March 14th
Meeting was called to order at 8.30pm by president Drjoshy Thomas after being collared by the secretary DrShameer C Sulaiman .Dr.Akhil Paul, Consultant Pulmanologist gave an excellent talk on Advanced Techniques in Pulmanology.IMA – AMS ECG quiz was conducted by Joshy Thomas.46 members attended.

Free Friday Diabetic Clinic conducted at SHRC by IMA Kunnamkulam. Secretary Dr. Shameer C Sulaiman examined the patients. 16 patients attended clinic. Free Blood Sugar estimation was done.
March 17th‘AROGYAMYTHRI ‘ Dental Camp at adopted CMLP School karikkad on 17.03.2017. IMA Kunnamkulam in association with Indian Dental Association, conducted free Dental Checkup for LP School children . Dr. Mohammed Sanju,DrVinod examined the children ,IMA secretary Dr.Shameer C Sulaiman, school Head Mistress Smt.Gladis ,class teachers Stella,Sunitha were present in the camp. Free Tooth paste and brush were given.Dental checkup was done for 75 students .

IMA Kunnamkulam in Association with MazuvancherySwandanam Charitable society conducted a Mega medical camp, Awareness class and formation of Blood donation Sena.ChoondalPanchayat President Mr K.S.Kareem presided over the function. Officialinauguration of the campwas done by Hon. MLA Mr.MuraliPerunelli. Awareness talk on ‘How to prevent lifestyle diseases’was given by the IMA secretary Dr shameer c sulaiman .Felicitations were given by IMA President Dr Joshy Thomas & ward members.Dr JoshyThomas ,Drshameer c sulaiman,Dr Jerry Joseph ,Dr Jasmi examined the patients and around 140 patients attended the camp. Free blood sugar estimation and free medicines were given.

Dr.Rajesh T Additional Professor, clinical Cardiology Amrita Institute gave an excellent talk on “Newer Therapies In Managing Diabetes with Cardiovascular Diseases”.
Pain & Palliative Kunnamkulam Branch President Mr.Gafoor& Secretary Dr.K.V.Devadas were honoured at the function.
32 members attended the meeting.

World Tuberculosis Day was observed along with monthly medical camp at IMA House, Kanippayur. A health Awareness class on Tuberculosis was conducted by Dr Joshy Thomas, Physician for sixty patients who attended the camp.
March 26thMonthly free medical camp for the underprivileged was conducted at IMA House with free blood sugar estimation, Hb estimation and distribution of free medicines.Dr.Shaji P. S and Dr Joshy Thomas examined around sixty patients.
March 26thIMA combined with IDA conducted Dental camp and Oral Hygiene Class
A team of three doctors from IDA also examined patients to access for any oral lesions and dental hygiene and free medicines and tooth paste were distributed.
A health awareness class was taken by IDA member Dr Azad on Oral Hygiene along with monthly medical camp at IMA House for sixty patients.

Anaemia Detection Camp
A free Anaemia detection camp was conducted along with monthly medical camp in which Hb estimation and free haematinic distribution were carried out to around forty patients.

Measles immunization day program of IMA Kunnamkulam , was conducted at Ansar Hospital, Perumpilavu. Kunnamkulam IMA president Dr JoshyThomas , inaugurated the program. Nursing tutor Miss. Jismi , welcomed the gathering. Pediatrician Dr Saju. P K,took an awareness class on Measles and Vaccinations in Children to around 50 nursing students.
